Who we are

Heavy Metal Network ("Heavy Metal," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at heavymetal.network. This Privacy Policy covers the marketing landing page and its email waitlist signup.

Information we collect

When you use the waitlist form on our landing page, we collect only:

• Your email address — the address you type into the signup field.
• A signup timestamp — the date and time your entry was created, stored automatically with your record.
• A waitlist flag — an internal marker recording that your entry is an early-access waitlist signup, so we can send you the right launch updates.

We do not collect your name, IP address, or location through this form, and the landing page does not set advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Notify you when Heavy Metal Network launches or opens access.
• Send you product updates and announcements about the network.
• Understand overall waitlist demand so we can plan the rollout.

We do not use your email for any purpose other than those described here without asking you first.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your email address is your consent, which you give by submitting the waitlist form, and our legitimate interest in notifying people who asked to be told when the product is available. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights).

How your data is stored & who can access it

Your waitlist entry is stored in our database hosted by our infrastructure provider. Access to the stored list is restricted to authorized Heavy Metal team members through a password-protected admin endpoint. We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to anyone.

Third-party services

We keep third parties to a minimum:

• Hosting & database provider — stores the waitlist data on our behalf.
• Google Fonts — our pages load typefaces from Google's servers, so your browser contacts Google to fetch fonts. Google may receive your IP address as part of that standard request. We do not send Google your email address.

If we add an email delivery service to send launch notifications, we will update this policy to name it before using it.

Cookies & analytics

The landing page does not place first-party tracking cookies and does not run advertising or analytics scripts. The only outbound third-party request is to Google Fonts, described above.

Data retention

We keep your waitlist entry until the product launches and for a reasonable period afterward so we can complete launch communications, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it).

Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact us and we will remove it.

International transfers

Heavy Metal Network is accessible worldwide, and your information may be processed and stored in a country other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting how we use your email will be communicated where appropriate.
